Aberdeen have handed a trial to French defender Othmane Hamama.
Dons chief Jimmy Calderwood is eager to breathe fresh life into his squad and he has brought the 23-year-old to the Granite City on the recommendation of one of his spies.
Hamama is available on a free transfer from Clermont Foot and he will turn out for The Dons in a friendly with Elgin on Sunday.
"A contact in France tipped me off that he was available," Calderwood told the Aberdeen Evening Express.
"If he does okay we will give him a run out at Elgin on Sunday and take things from there."
